Can I just start out by saying how much I LOVE taking senior portraits? Seniors are so fun because I really get to focus in on one individual and we go to several fun locations for some unique pictures. Stevie was awesome-she had never had professional pictures taken before, but she was a total natural in front of the camera. The funnest part of her senior picture session, was that her grandfather brought a classic Camero. Congrats Stevie! I hope you have a fun last year of high school!

My favorite picture with the camero...
I met up with the Edde family last month for some family portraits up at Lake Tahoe. It ended up being a little chilly but I was excited that it was a little overcast. It was perfect conditions for pictures and the sun even peeked thru the clouds right before the sun set! The pictures turned out really well and I absolutely loved what they wore for pictures-they looked great!
Rachelle is so much fun to take pictures of-she makes my job super easy. She is a total natural in front of the camera and I think good things are to come for pictures from her wedding in November. I especially love her Priscilla of Boston dress and the headband she wore for her pictures.

Rachelle is a theater major, so these lights were perfect!

How things have changed in a year! Last fall, I was taking Adam and Taci's engagement portraits and a year later they have the sweetest little girl, Ashton. She is absolutely adorable. I love photographing babies at this age when they start to develop a little personality and start smiling. They are so fun!

Adam and Taci said they found this sunflower field to take some pictures at. I was beyond thrilled. Sunflowers are my favorite flower...

On a recent visit to Texas, I photographed Gavin and Holden. I had never met them before...Holden was a little shy and his older brother Gavin tried to show him how to pose in front of the camera. They are pretty cute!

At the end of last month, I flew back to Lubbock to take some bridal portraits for a wedding I have coming up there in November. While I was there, I photographed some other portrait sessions including the Sikes Family. I photographed them a year ago at the University, so this year we did something a little different and photographed at more urban locations. They were awesome-old pros this time around! I love it when families decide to have photographs taken in a setting that is something different than a pretty green setting...

Please come and support the 2009 'I Hope You Dance' Fundraising Gala onI watched Riley for one of my oldest friends this past weekend. While I had him, I couldn't help but take a few pictures of him. So, we did just that as the sun started to set in my backyard. He was a great little model for me! I just love him and had so much fun watching him!
The Rosemore family adopted the little girl in these pictures and the adoption just became finalized. They decided they wanted to have new family portraits of the entire family now that the adoption is official. What a great way to make her feel welcome and part of the group! We took these pictures in less than 30 minutes...as they said, they only needed one good one and wanted to take pictures as quickly as possible!
I really enjoy newborn sessions when babies are so tiny and flexible. I love how they curl up as though they are still in their mother's womb. Blake did just that for me when we took these when he was just 6 days old. Congratulations Austin and Sarah! There is no doubt in mind that you are going to be great parents-Blake is a lucky baby!

I love this wedding video of the processional for a wedding ceremony. Talk about making your wedding unique and unlike anyone else's! I'd love to experience this first hand!
Brody and Aislinn. . . these two are awesome. We took their engagment pictures when it was literally 100 degrees outside! I think it was worth it, and hopefully they do too! They had mentioned they wanted some 'vintage' looking pictures so we ended up using my dad's Model A car. Which, by the way, is available to rent for weddings. We went to 4 different locations and they were such good troopers for doing anything and everything I asked for 3 hours!
I love this location and have been wanting to take pictures here for a long time. As it turned out, Aislinn's family used to own the land that this building was on which was perfect!
Aislinn reminds me a little bit of Sandra Bullock-I think it is the eyes...
